I am a relative newbie in the yoga world. Classes at the YMCA for the past year. During that time, I have just worn running shorts. Works ok, but can be a little too ... revealing ... when doing inversions like shoulder stands. My wife has yoga apparel; she loves it and as well as being flattering to her figure, her yoga togs are comfortable and enhance her practice.I decided to also spring for yoga togs. Bottom line first - there just isn't too much out there for men! I looked at a fairly wide variety of sources and found little to be had. What I did see looked just like sweat pants, not really what I was looking for, but like the running shorts would most likely be serviceable if not designed for yoga.I saw these 4-rth Cuffed Yoga Pants during my search. Decided to give them a try. What the heck, I have been spending well over $100 for running shoes for years! Why not try a considerably less expensive pair of yoga shorts since I am increasingly "into" yoga and the benefits that I get from yoga??I wasn't sure of the fit (I am DEFINITELY not shaped like the models show on the website!), so I sent an email to the seller. Got an answer back within a half hour! And the advice on fit was spot on. I am 5'9" and about 180 lbs (long torso, short legs...) and wear a 34" waist on most items. I got the large. Fits perfectlyDid my first yoga practice yesterday. The Cuffed Yoga Pant worked like a charm. Did not bind or restrict my movements in any way and the legs did not fall down around my waist during inversions. Very comfortable as well! The feel of the material is somewhat like felt. Waist is a band that does not feel restrictive in twisting poses and yet is "firm" enough to keep the pants in place. The cuff part falls just below my knees. Again, did not cause any restrictions in movement and did not ride up above my knees either. Calling the bottom a cuff is not really accurate though, it does not have any rolled portion like I think of when you say cuff - more like just a little elastic that keeps that part of the pants below the knee where it is designed to go.I had wondered if the Cuffed Yoga Pants would require additional support for my groin area (for modesty), and it does. I go commando in cycling shorts and running shorts (if a liner is included), but definitely not for these Cuffed Yoga Pants. Just a little too much freedom for public classes!Final impression? Good pants for yoga! I recommend them highly.
