This is much much more interesting than the average text book. I think this a book I'd like to keep around. There is something to be said about the clarity of hindsight and this text seems to have that. It also seems (and I do stress seems) to be a very balanced view of the history of the 'recent' past. I'm actually enjoying my assigned readings for a change
